What we store

• Your email address, name, a hashed password and your login sessions.
• Your top-ups, every paid play, and which songs you own. We need these to keep your balance and for accounting.
• Your IP address only in a scrambled form, used to slow down password guessing.
• If you upload music: the audio file, the song details and the writers' names, including whether each writer belongs to a copyright society. That decides which licenses the song needs.

Your data is stored on Sophonics' own server in Helsinki, Finland.

Payments

Stripe collects your card details and email on its own page. They never pass through our server. Stripe is a separate controller for your payment data. We use the email Stripe gives us to send your top-up confirmation and cancellation receipts.

Cookies

One login cookie, which the service needs to work. Your browser also remembers your volume setting. There are no analytics, ads or outside scripts. Fonts are served from our own server.

How long we keep it

Account data until you delete your account. Payment and play records for as long as Finnish accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at info@sophonics.fi. If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
