Muuso is run by Sophonics SX Oy, Bahamankatu 4 B 55, 00220 Helsinki, Finland, +358 50 492 6909, info@sophonics.fi. Updated 2026-10-22.
You add money to your Muuso balance and pay a small amount each time you play a song. A play counts after you've heard 30 seconds of it. Once your plays add up to the song's price to own, the song is yours: you can download it in full quality and play it for free from then on. Sophonics SX Oy sells the plays and songs to you and pays the artists.
The artist sets the price per play and the price to own. Prices include 25.5% VAT. If an artist raises a price after you've paid for a song, you keep the old price. If they lower it, you get the lower price.
You add money in amounts of €10, €20 or €50. Stripe handles the payment. Your balance doesn't expire. You can't cash it out or move it to someone else. After each top-up we email you a confirmation with these terms.
You can cancel a top-up within 14 days with Cancel a top-up in the balance menu. You get back whatever you haven't spent, to the card or account you paid with. When you top up, you ask us to start delivering plays right away, so songs you've already played can't be cancelled. If a song is faulty, the law gives you the right to have it fixed or your money back. If something goes wrong, for example you were charged but the song wouldn't play, write to us and we'll fix it.
Owning a song lets you download it and listen to it yourself, as much as you want. The artist keeps all other rights. You can't sell, share or publish the files.
You may only upload music you have the rights to. You set your own prices and can change them, but listeners keep the price they started with.
Keep your password to yourself. We can close an account that is used to abuse the service. If we do, we refund the unused balance.
We may update these terms. A top-up is always covered by the terms that were in force when you made it.
